FINANCE

The Finance function within BAT plays an integral part in making sure all our operations run effectively, supporting the company strategy and ultimately contributing to our future success.

Within the Finance function, you will work towards the CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants) qualification. Within this role you will participate in assignments in Financial Accounting/Shared Services, Management Accounting, Marketing Finance and Operations Finance. You may also be involved in assignments within Taxation, Treasury, Audit and Strategy Planning.

Some of the modules you will be completing include:

  • Preparing and Maintaining Accounting Records
  • Statutory and Regulatory Reporting
  • Working Capital Control
  • Procurement
  • Preparation of Management Accounts
  • Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Management Reporting for Decision Making
  • Project Appraisal
  • Financial Strategy
  • Product and Service Costing

There is also a practical aspect to this role, where as a management trainee you will learn about IT Desktop skills, Systems and Procedure Development, information Management, Project Management, Business Evaluation and Appraisal, Business Strategy and External Relationships.
