Enjoys the challenge of working in a controversial industry.
"In the Corporate and Regulatory Affairs (CORA) department we know the company will be judged on its actions, and doing business in a responsible manner is not just mere window-dressing. Our work includes combating illicit trade internationally, voluntary International Marketing Standards, lobbying for minimum age for tobacco sales, publishing ingredients and more.
Tobacco consumption does pose real risks to health, so we agree that tobacco products should be regulated in appropriate ways. We support, and want to help deliver, balanced tobacco regulation and want to participate and support governments with advice on and compliance with effective future laws.
The work in CORA focuses on obtaining regulation that can help reduce the impact of tobacco on public health, and that also matches the preferences of consumers with the interests of society, establishes an open-minded and objective approach to harm reduction as a public policy, and ensures that our business - as a responsible part of the legitimate tobacco industry - can compete and prosper.
